12/16: We arrived to our new place, which required a few more steps as our place was in old town where cars are restricted. We’ll be here for 5 nights (12/16 - 12/21). We dropped our stuff, and went out to explore.

We went to Pop’s Pizza two times for dinner - I think it was my favorite pizza ever - the Matera - so I took a picture of the ingredients and hope to try and recreate at home. We'll see!?
The Illusion Museum - we liked the bathroom door sign: ‘whatever - just wash your hands after.’ |
We went to the Škocjan Caves - our final Unesco Heritage site. It is the largest cave in the world, and was absolutely incredible to see! We have said that a lot on this trip: “I’m not sure what I expected, but this was way cooler than I thought!”

Last night in Ljubljana |
A dinner just the two of us while kids enjoying downtime at our place |
After meeting “Pop” our first night, we made friends with a few waiters our second night. A lemoncello shot as we said goodbye :-) |
Our texts to each other the evening Bob and I went to Pop’s and the kids ate at home (their choice: McDonald’s) |
Goodbye to our awesome place in Ljubljana! Such an awesome location! One unique thing we will remember about this place is the toilet within the shower area! So strange! |
Ljubljana memories: Walk in huge city park, kids finished school (Spanish and math tests in a row), Christmas markets, mulled wine sold everywhere - keeps you warm while walking around!, two nights of Pops pizza, watched Red One (entertaining!), going to the caves, playing Codenames (on Simone’s Advent calendar:-) in the car for an hour while we waited for the tour to start.
Off to our final stop: Lake Bled.
