Biking, friends, and Ted Lasso

9/14: A beautiful day, and we rented bikes to tour around Richmond Park, the largest of the eight Royal Parks. Initially it was a bit crowded on the path with our bikes, but once we got to the massive park we had more space.

We picked up the fixings for margaritas (we haven't had one in 3 months since we left!) and headed to the Sander's house for a bbq. It was so fun to see them again!

It was fun to be with them in their home that we called 'home' for 2 weeks while they were gone! The four of us reflected afterwards how we hadn't been with friends for over a month since we left Paulo's house. This is a new experience for us, given how much we love to entertain and go to friend's houses at home. We definitely loved the evening with friends, but it was also a great feeling to realize we haven't minded just being the four of us 💕

9/16: We started the day with schoolwork instead of exercise, and then went to the local pool where Bob had reserved a spot for the kids to swim laps for an hour. It was a 10 minute walk for us, and Bob and I went for a walk while the kids swam laps. The kids had a great experience, and are excited to go back again.

We came home for lunch and more schoolwork. The kids have done a great job getting ahead for the week, as we plan to head downtown tomorrow (Tuesday) to see some typical tourist sites instead of doing schoolwork. This is one of the best things about online school: doing work on the weekends and on other days of the week in order to free up some weekdays to be tourists!

Bob and I took advantage of the beautiful evening and walked 3 minutes to the Prince’s Head for a pint.

And now we feel like watching the series again!
