10/6: We drove from Dachau and arrived in Garmisch about 5pm, unfortunately right as the office closed where we needed to get our Airbnb key. Not a big deal as they emailed directions to us how to find our key and our place. Unfortunately, the instructions were very wrong, and it was with the help of a local neighbor that we found our place after about 30 minutes. I was feeling a bit unsettled - questioning our travels, experiences, are we doing the right things, traveling too much. I was looking forward to settling into our place and having a quiet dinner and evening. Oh wait - it's Sunday and everything is closed, so no grocery store option for me. Argh! Thankfully, we found an awesome place to have dinner at Shaka Burger house. It was a close walk, we loved walking around our new town of Garmisch, and most importantly, the music playlist at the burger house was right up our alley :-)
10/7: This is what Bob and I woke up to. Wow!
He immediately got up and set his phone up on the balcony to do a time lapse video of the sunrise. AMAZING! Sorry I can’t upload it to the blog!

The view from our balcony! |
We wanted to capitalize on the beautiful weather, as the forecast was questionable for much of the week, so we did a quick grocery run while the kids started their schoolwork. Then we packed up and headed out to Partnachklamm Gorge. Wow! What a hike!

What a day! We were psyched to come home and enjoy more views from our balcony. The kids did some schoolwork and had their weekly school call, Bob had a CMT call, and I made Mexican for dinner. My agita from yesterday has subsided after such an awesome day together. Life is good! Feeling thankful.
