7/7: we slept in a bit and enjoyed an easy breakfast with Paul while Victoria and the boys were at Mass. Bob and I enjoyed talking a little US and UK politics including Brexit over amazing fresh toasted bread and apricot preserves (my gluten reduction routine will continue to wait!).
We got ready and went out for a walk with labradoodle Millie to meet the family at the local farmers market, which happens on the first Sunday of the month (lucky us!) We bought charcuterie provisions including amazing cheese and olives (YES Margo! :-) We also found some bars of shampoo and conditioner that Vic highly recommended; we bought some for our travels as that sounds much better than bottles of liquids in our bags. Interested to see how we like them!

Quick stop at home before heading to their tennis club for lunch and some hitting together! |

It’s time for our post tennis ‘jug’ of Pimms! |

Paul introduced us to a few traditional English treats (millionaire shortbread). |
We went home and had an easy evening in their garden (what we’d call the backyard) with our items from the market, in addition to some anchovies, leftover lamb, and marinated chicken. Victoria’s mom joined us and taught Simone how to make these ‘lavender wands’ (not the official name). You place them in your drawer (or duffel for us!) and she says the scent lasts for a year!
